1967 Leafs Stanley Cup Banner Brings $34,000

Frozen Pond has announced  the results of its recent auction, which featured a number of artifacts from Maple Leaf Gardens ,as well as a top quality selection of other sports collectibles, including an extensive collection of Wayne Gretzky items.

In total, the auction generated over $300,000 in revenue.  Key items from Maple Leaf Gardens included:

  • 1967 Leafs Stanley Cup banner – $34,000 (20 bids)
  • Bill Barilko retired #5 banner – $7,503
  • 1951 Stanley Cup collage – $6,250
  • 1933-34 Team Roster plaque – $3,325 (28 bids)
  • Home Penalty Box bench and glass – $10,250
  • Leafs Dressing Room – front doors – $8,000 (29 bids)
  • Hot Stove Lounge Sign – $3,701 (44 bids)
  • Pair of front row gold seats – signed by the 1999 Leafs team – $7,900 (44 bids)
  •  …and of course, the toilet from the Leafs dressing room – $5,300 (49 bids)
