In 2011, Krause Publications produced Mickey Mantle: Memories and Memorabilia, a great book authored by SCD’s own Larry Canale. (It’s still available for just $10.79 at www.krausebooks.com, or call 800-258-0929 to order a copy).
Well, The Easton Press liked it so much they decided to take the softcover book and produce a limited run of leather-bound, high-end copies with the special gold-leaf paper. It retails for $135 on the company’s website, www.eastonpressbooks.com.

Mantle’s card was in the first pack of 1957 Topps that I bought as an 11 year old starting my collection. I figured I should collect all of the cards in the set.
