Update on Stolen Mel Ott Bat: $5,000 Reward Offered

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the return of the Mel Ott game-used bat that was stolen during the National Sports Collectors Convention in Baltimore in August.

John Taube of JT Sports, the booth in which the bat was stolen during the show, is offering the reward. The Mel Ott, bat, which sold for $48,300 at Hunt Auction MLB FanFest auction this past July, has notable features such as a professionally restored crack. The Hillerich & Bradsby manufacturing stampings and facsimile signature impression on barrel both remain very strong. For a full description and information when this story broke, CLICK HERE.
