Major sports and non-sports items are available in Clean Sweep Auctions’ current sale

Clean Sweep Auctions is hosting an auction that contains an assortment of rare and desirable cards, autographs and memorabilia that spans multiple sports and collectible genres.

The auction is highlighted by 13 key lots. These are an Old Judge Bid McPhee SGC 5.5, T208 Fireside Home Run Baker, E105 Mello Mint Honus Wagner, 1915 Zeenut Fred McMullen SGC 3, 1956 Topps set with many PSA 7s, 1958 Topps set also with many PSA 7s, 1960 Topps set with many PSA 8s, and a 1962 Topps high grade set with 74 PSA-graded cards.

The other key lots are a Jackie Robinson single signed baseball, 1778 George Washington signed document, Abraham Lincoln document from 1862, fully signed Beatles program from 1963, and a 1966 Topps Test Issue Bobby Orr PSA 6.

Baseball card singles follow, featuring a collection of Old Judges, including an example from nearly every HOFer and many of the classic spotted tie rarities. These are offered as nearly 100 individual lots. 

Other highlights among baseball card singles are a 1915 Cracker Jack Eddie Cicotte PSA 8, 1933 Goudey 149 Babe Ruth PSA 2.5, 1949 Bowman Satchel Paige SGC 6, 1951 Bowman Willie Mays rookie PSA 4, 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle PSA Authentic, 1953 Topps Mantle PSA 5, three 1954 Topps Hank Aaron rookies including a SGC 6, 1955 Topps Harmon Killebrew rookie PSA 8, Roberto Clemente rookie SGC 5, many newly graded PSA 8s and 9s from the 1960s and two tough 1971 Topps PSA 9s: Tom Seaver and Willie Stargell.

Baseball card sets and lots start with T206s and go through 1975 Topps. These include collector grade 1930s and 1940s Goudey and Play Balls sets and most of the Topps sets from 1953-1973.

Baseball autographs come next. There are many signed vintage cards, with note to three each of 1950s Mickey Mantle and Ted Williams signed cards. There is a wide assortment of classic HOF autographs on photos, 3x5s and checks.

Unique items that are available include a 1943 Gil Hodges signed biographical card, a Kenesaw Mountain Landis letter about Walter Johnson and Christy Mathewson, a 1910 Connie Mack letter, and fully signed Yankees yearbooks from 1958-1972. Also available is a Mantle signed bat and quality oversized Derek Jeter and related signed photos from the great Yankees teams he played on.

Signed baseballs include singles from Walt Alston, Dizzy Dean, Hank Greenberg, Gil Hodges and Roger Maris. Team balls include a 1931 Yankees ball, several 1950s and 1960s championship balls and a scarce 1964 NL All Star team ball.

Historical and entertainment autographs include a Martin Luther King Jr. signature, a Natalie Wood signed photo, and a Neil Armstrong 8×10.

Non-sports cards are well represented in the auction. There is a wide selection of complete sets from 1910-1966. Highlights include a 1933 Goudey Indians set, a run of 1933 Sea Raiders, a 1940 Superman set, a 1954 World on Wheels set, and four different Davy Crockett sets with unique back combinations.

Basketball collectors will see many UDA signed items featuring Michael Jordan and LeBron James, including single signed basketballs, jerseys and oversized images.

Boxing collectors will see a wide assortment of high quality Muhammad Ali signed items and an original poster from the first Ali-Frazier fight in 1971 that is fresh to the hobby.

Football collectors will see 1948 Leaf and 1952 Bowman Large sets, a 1965 Topps set, and a wide assortment of Tom Brady signed items.

The auction also includes Clean Sweep Auctions’ largest selection of classic hockey HOF autographs on jerseys and photos.

Baseball memorabilia concludes the auction. Items include a 1939 Kenesaw Mountain Landis ring from the Philadelphia A’s, key tickets including a 1932 Babe Ruth called shot game, and a ticket from the 1954 Willie Mays basket catch game.
