Heritage Auctions announced that longtime industry veteran Calvin Arnold will join the company as its West Coast consignment director, based out of the Beverly Hills branch office.
“We are very excited to have him,” said Chris Ivy, director of Sports Auctions at Heritage, “and we are confident with his experience and deep roots in the West Coast collecting community that he will be an invaluable addition to our team.”
Calvin brings more than 25 years of knowledge and experience in the sports collectibles field to the role. He will be free to travel throughout the western United States for quality consignments.
Calvin’s fascination with the collectibles marketplace began in his youth, and it grew into a profession begun straight out of high school in 1985 when he joined the staff of SCP Auctions. After five years of apprenticeship, Calvin tested his entrepreneurial skills with the opening of a successful private trading card shop in southern California. Later he would rejoin SCP as a leading force in their consignment and sales division.
“The team at Heritage is the best in the industry, and this is a fantastic opportunity to become a part of it,” Calvin said. “Expanding the presence of the Sports department in Beverly Hills is an important step for the team and I am looking forward to making an immediate impact.”
