OYO Sportstoys has announced its first release of officially licensed building-block mini-figures that feature the logos and likenesses of players from all 32 NFL teams. OYO will produce the building toys under new licensing agreements with the NFL and NFL Players Association.
OYOs are specially designed with rotating forearms and bending knees to allow them to run, sit, squat and grip and throw a football. NFL OYOs have one extended forearm and one bent forearm to allow for a variety of position-specific poses. Each figure comes with a football, a helmet with removable facemask, water bottle and a rectangular stand, all in a special package that can be used to display your collection.
Each OYO, which is compatible with popular toy building blocks, has its own unique identification code, called a DNA number, that identifies when it was produced and sets it apart from other figures in each new product release.
“We’re excited about partnering with OYO Sportstoys to license a new product for the youth market to bring fans closer to their favorite athletes,” said Karen Austin, assistant vice president of licensing for MLBPA.
The official launch of NFL licensed OYOs follow the debut of MLB licensed OYOs in 2012.
“The demand for buildable sports products is amazing,” said Tom Skripps, president of OYO Sportstoys. “We’re thrilled to team with the NFL and its players to tap into the passion of NFL fans and the unparalleled popularity of the sport.”
OYO Sportstoys retail for an average price of $12.99 each and are available for purchase at major retail outlets, stadiums and online at www.oyosportstoys.com. Check the OYO Sportstoys website for more details on store listings.
