Super Bowl 1-50 Ticket Run One of the Best Offered to Date

SCP Auctions is humbled to present the “Holy Grail” of ticket collections, a complete run of Super Bowl I-50 full unused tickets with the highest overall PSA grade point average ever for a set offered in a public sale.

‘SCP Auctions Super Bowl Basic’ is currently ranked No. 2 on the PSA registry among complete sets with a weighted GPA of 22.769 and a set rating of 22.58 (pending SB 50 grade). The three biggest hits are: 1967 Super Bowl I Gold PSA NM 7 (population 3, only 2 graded higher) with $15,000 SMR value; 1968 II Yellow EX-MT 6 (pop. 1, only 1 higher) with $28,000 SMR value; and 1978 XII White NM-MT 8 (pop. 3, 0 higher) with $25,000 SMR value.

SBticketrunOther notables include: 1969 III Yellow FR 1.5; 1970 IV Blue EX 5; 1971 V Blue GD 2; 1972 VI Blue GD 2; and 1984 XVIII Gem Mint 10. All tickets from 1988 XXII through 2014 XLVIII are graded 8-10, with all but two either Mint 9 or Gem Mint 10. The cumulative SMR value of this set is $105,000. It should be noted that a complete set of Super Bowl I-50 tickets did come to auction in February; however, its SMR value was significantly less and its weighted GPA would be much lower if PSA registered. There may never again be a better collection, let alone complete run, of Super Bowl tickets to hit the auction block.
