The organization that fosters an appreciation of American art and cultre through the context of baseball history adds three members to its Shrine in 2015: Sy Berger, Steve Bilko and Glenn Burke.
The Baseball Reliquary Inc. has announced its list of 50 eligible candidates for the 2014 election of the Shrine of the Eternals, the membership organization’s equivalent to the Baseball Hall of Fame. This year marks the 16th annual election of the Shrine, a major national component of the Baseball Reliquary, a Southern California-based organization dedicated to fostering an appreciation of American art and culture through the context of baseball history.
In honor of fostering an appreciation of American art and culture through the context of baseball history, Manny Mota, Lefty O’Doul and Eddie Feigner have been selected for induction into the Shrine of the Eternals by the Baseball Reliquary.
The Baseball Reliquary will be presenting an exhibit titled “Baseball by the Books” at the Pasadena Central Library in Pasadena, Calif., throughout the month of July that will feature some fo the most popular books based on the most popular sport.
Bill Veeck, long considered one of the most creative baseball owners ever, will be highlighted in a special exhibit by the Baseball Reliquary in conjunction with a new book about the Hall of Famer.
