One of the headline items in SCP Auctions’ current sale, the jersey reportedly worn by Reggie Jackson in Game 6 of the 1977 World Series, has been withdrawn from the sale regarding inconsistencies with the “NY” logo and the pinstripes based on video footage from the game.
SCP Auctions has a big-time auction scheduled for April 10-27. Among the personal collections of John Havlicek, Steve Garvey, Rollie Fingers and many others will be iconic game-used jersey from Reggie Jackson (Game 6 of 1977 World Series) and Wayne Gretzky (1980-81 Edmonton Oilers).
Las Vegas sports exhibit, SCORE!, serves up impressive memorabilia, interactive exhibits and the local flair for the dramatic. Among those associated with the project are the Basketball Hall of Fame, Pro Football Hall of Fame and Boxing Hall of Fame.
The Miracle on Ice Collection will include 22 items, including the jerseys Eurzione wore against the Soviet Union and the gold medal game, the stick he used to score the winning goal against the Soviets and the gloves he wore throughout the 1980 Olympics.

The big-ticket items just keep coming in the hobby, with the latest news coming form Heritage regarding the sale of the Miracle on Ice Collection of Mike Eruzione. This includes the jersey and stick Eruzione used in the 1980 classic against the Soviets.

Last fall, six men were charged with fraud involving the sale of fraudulent game-used jerseys. One of the six, Bradley Wells, has plead guilty and will be sentenced Dec. 14.
The annual Basketball Hall of Fame auction conducted by Grey Flannel Auctions is now taking place, culminating in the Sept. 7 live portion of the event taking place in Springfield, Mass. Leading the pace thus far are the 1991 All-Star Game jerseys of Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson.
