Memory Lane had five days to impress National Convention attendees with its latest Historic Rarities auction, and then came through. Bidders ponied up $1.88 million in Memory Lane’s latest sale, which included a Ruth rookie ($59,999) and Topps cello box ($44,948).
The second auction held during the National Convention’s run brought a total of $1.7 million in roughly 60 lots, led by a Honus Wagner game-used bat that topped $250,000.
Huggins and Scott will kick of its latest auction July 20, running through Aug. 9, offering a Pele and Brooks Robinson game-used jersey, rare vintage singles and signed items that include Ruth, Maris and Marciano. Pieces will also be on display next week in Baltimore at the National Convention.
Grey Flannel’s latest sports memorabilia auction includes a wide selection of game-used jerseys, from Sandy Koufax and Reggie Jackson to Larry Csonka and Wayne Gretzky.
The upcoming Huggins and Scott auction will include such rarirties as a Rocky Marciano signed baseball, Hank Aaron 1975-76 game-used jersey and a game-used bat from George “High Pockets” Kelly.
Huggins and Scott will kick off its 2012 season with an auction that features a rare Cy Young tobacco tin, 1915 World Series press pin, Hank Aaron game-used bat and everything in between.
