Topps re-signs Barry Bonds to deal

Topps announced that Barry Bonds has re-signed with the company for the 2007 baseball season, which means the only place to find Bonds will be in Topps products.

The deal also grants Topps exclusive rights within the MLB trading card category for autographed baseball cards, game-used memorabilia cards and Bonds’ image use on packaging and advertising.

Topps will continue its string of 22 consecutive Bonds Topps issues by offering his 2007 card in Topps Baseball Series 2 (shipping late May).

Collectors can also look for the Bonds Home Run History insert, which commemorates every single home run Bonds has hit and continues starting with home run No. 735 in the late-season Topps Updates & Highlights.

Topps also announced that it has made a late change by adding three Bonds cards, all of which feature three pieces of game-used memorabilia per card, to the upcoming Topps Triple Threads Baseball, which ships this week.
